Born in Tisovec (21.8.1947), associated to the Bratislava Conservatory, Academy of Performing Arts Prague (class of Frantisek Maxian and Jan Panenka) and HYPERLINK "http://www.mosconsv.ru/english.phtml"Moscow P. His prestigious career has been awarded by many successes and awards, such as Absolute Winner on Smetana’s Contest in Hradec Kralove (1970), award for best interpretation of W. A .Mozart’s work (1972), Anda – Bührle Award for best participant (1973) on master interpretation courses of Geza Anda in Zurich, the State Award for Sergej Prokofiev’s work interpretation and for Czechoslovak concert art promotion abroad (1985), Golden OPUS Award for best Brahms’ sonnets recording (1987), Supraphon award “Golden Harmony” for the CD of Rachmaninov and Schnittke and Pärta award “Classic” for the recording of the year 1997 (12 CD with Fibich’s piano cycles Moods, Impressions and Souvenirs), “Daliborka” award for the best recording of 1998 (work of Leos Janacek), prestigious Gustav Mahler European Award (2002) granted by European Art Union in cooperation with the European Union for creative musical act, unconventional and progressive contribution into context of culture and musical art support.
As soloist he appears on significant international festivals (Prague Spring, Wiener Festwochen, Salzburger Festspiele, Berliner Festispiele, Dresden Musikfestspiele, Festival de Saint lazier, Budapest Music Weeks, Cardiff Music Festival, Festival de Musica de Canaries, International Festival Echternach, Sofia Music Weeks, Summer Festival in Dubrovnik), cooperates with prestigious orchestra ensembles (Wiener Kammerorchester, Budapest Strings, Berliner Symphonie Orchester, Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Dresden Staatskapelle, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Johannesburg Philharmonic, North Bay Symphony Orchestra Canada), performs in the piano duet (mainly with Peter Toperczer or Eugen Indjic), and regularly takes part in chamber partnership with outstanding instrumentalists and vocal soloists ( Eva Garajova, Peter Dvorsky, Gabriela Benackova, Magdalena Hajossyova, Sergej Kopcak, Jelena Obrzcovova, Dagmar Peckova, Peter Schreier, Josef Suk, Raphael Wallfish), he performed for Spanish Royal family etc.
Marian Lapsansky is an influential and internationally recognized authority in the field of pedagogy and events initiating. He is a professor at art academies in Prague, Bratislava and Banska Bystrica, he has led master classes in Tokyo, Chicago and at Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, he has taught at Sommer Akademie in Austrian Semmering (under gestion of Music University in Vienna) and Prague. His students have more than 30 prizes from international competitions. Marian Lapsansky has initiated a formation and currently performs a function of president in Johannes Nepomuk Hummel International Piano Contest in Bratislava. He has raised the Cyril and Method Foundation to support young artist in 1990 and in 1991 initiated the Festival of Young Pentagonala Concert Artists (currently Central European Festival of Concert Art in Zilina) and International Music Festival Musica nobilis in North Slovakia. Mr. Lapsansky holds the position of the General Director of the Slovak Philharmonic as of 2004.
František Malý's artistic career began in the mid-1960s, when his exceptional talent led to his winning the Chopin, Smetana and Beethoven Piano Competitions, with a special prize for interpretation of Beethoven's works. After finishing his studies at the Brno and Prague Conservatories in 1969, he began his study at the Academy of Music, Drama and Fine Arts in Prague. After graduation in 1976, Mr. Malý continued his musical education as a doctoral student in the arts. He is prize winner of the international piano competitions of Ferruccio Busoni in Bolzano, Italy (1967), Marguerite Long in Paris (1969 and 1973) and Ettore Pozzoli in Seregno, Italy (1974). Apart from his concert activities as a soloist, he is intensively engaged in chamber music in cooperation with leading Czech musicians. Mr. Malý took part in founding the Antonín Dvořák Trio. He has toured many countries including Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the former USSR, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Portugal, Canada, and the United States as a solo and chamber musician. Currently, Mr. Malý is a pedagogue at Prague's Academy of Performing Arts.

父、南栄祐(バリトン、故人)の伴奏者として、10代の頃からNHKラジオリサイタルにた びたび出演する。1969年、「毎日推薦ヤマハリサイタル」で、本格的演奏活動を開始。
ソロリサイタル、ピアノデュオリサイタルを重ねる。オーケストラとの共演も多く、故・渡邊暁雄、三石精一、堤俊作、外山雄三、小林研一郎の各氏の指揮により、京都市交響楽団、大阪フィルハーモニー交響楽団、新星日本交響楽団、大阪シンフォニカー 、関西フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、名古屋フィルハーモニー交響楽団と共演。また、1991年には、S.ヴラダー指揮、チェコスロバキア室内管弦楽団日本公演のソリストとして、モーツァルトピアノ協奏曲K.466を共演した。その他、ポーランドのヴィラノフ弦楽四重奏団、チェコのドレジャール弦楽四重奏団、シュターミッツ弦楽四重奏団などの海外アーティストとの室内楽の共演を数多く重ねる。海外の公演は、米国ロサンゼルス、サンフランシスコ、シアトル、チェコのプラハ、カルロヴィ・ヴァリー、ヤヒモフなどで行った。自主コンサートだけでなく、1998年に、朝日新聞創刊120周年記念コンサートシリーズで、ベートーヴェンのピアノ協奏曲第5番『皇帝』を、その翌年には、『第5回阪神大震災の被災者を励ますコンサート』で、リストのピアノ協奏曲第1番を、小林研一郎指揮の大阪シンフォニカーと共演。その他大阪芸術大学特別演奏会にたびたび出演する。2007年8月には、プラハサマーアカデミーのゲスト講師に招かれた。小柳芳子、矢部民、F・ブルックマン、池田洋子、故・伊達純の各氏に師事。
1994年より、指揮者・小林研一郎氏に演奏解釈及び、演奏法を学ぶ。現在、大阪芸術大学演奏学科教授。
Due to his extensive artistic activity Ivan Zenaty has acquired a leading position among Czech violinists. During his studies at the Prague Conservatory he has made his debut with the Czech Philharmonics, in 1982 he got to the final of the International P.I. Tschaykowski Violin Competition in Moscow, in 1987 he was a sovereign winner of the International Prague Spring Violin Competition. Ivan Zenaty was awarded the title Laureate of the International Tribune of Young Performers UNESCO (1989) and the main prize of the Ruggiero Ricci international master-classes in Berlin (1990) which resulted in his engagement as a soloist of the Berliner Symphoniker. The unmistakable artistic expression of Ivan Zenaty was influenced by several significant personalities such as Nathan Milstein, Andre Gertler and Igor Bezrodny (master-classes in Zurich and Weimar). Since 1988 he has been collaborating in private tutorage with Josef Suk with whom he often performs on international festivals.
After these successes Ivan Zenaty was appointed a permanent soloist of the Prague Symphonics, the Czech Radio Orchestra and he has realised an European tour with the Czech Philharmonics. He performed with Yehudi Menuhin, Yo-Yo Ma, Serge Baudo, Neville Marriner and many others. He appeared in Berliner Philharmonie, Queen Elisabeth Hall, Barbican and Wigmore Halls (London), Metropolitan Hall (Tokyo), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Auditorio (Madrid), King David Hall (Jerusalem), Queen´s Hall (Edinburgh), Ford Center (Toronto), Teatro Colon (Buenos Aires) and numerous other famous venues.v Since 1996 Ivan Zenaty has been professor at the Music Academy in Dresden.
His repertoire is unusually wide including about fifty orchestral concertos of all music styles. In his current recording activity he concentrates mainly on complete works of great composers. At the present time he co-operates with the Dorian recording company (New York). Ivan Zenaty plays a famous instrument Prince of Orange made in 1743 by Italian master Giuseppe Antonio Guarnieri del Gesu.
After his studies in Prague ( 1980 ) he became a deputy concertmaster of the Suk Chamber Orchestra under a leadership of Josef Suk himself. He followed to develop his violin carrier as a first violin of the Dolezal String Quartet. for another 20 years. Today, he is known first of all as one of the most successful Czech violin teachers, specially for students aged 10 - 18. Among his students are many prize winners, soloists and first class chamber players. We reccommend his class specially to students who need to develop their skills to pre-university level, or those who are heading any kind of exam or competition.
has joined the ranks of mature performing artists with a broad repertoire. He is a graduate of the Ostrava Conservatory and of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In 1975, he won First Prize and the title of Laureate in the Ministry of Culture's performance contest in Hradec nad Moravicí. After completing his studies he was for several years a member of the Suk Chamber Orchestra and the New Chamber Orchestra, and he has played as a guest with additional chamber ensembles including Musici di Praga, Musica da camera Praga, Ars rediviva, and others. He has also served as a teacher. He is a founding member of the international ensemble of chamber players titled East/West under the patronage of UNESCO, with which he has given concerts and participated in musical seminars abroad. At the present time he is viola section leader in the Prague Symphony Orchestra and a founding member and artistic director of the Prague Symphony Chamber Orchestra. In 1999, he played the premiere of Concerto for viola and orchestra by Antonín Tučapský, three years ago he played Concerto for viola and orchestra Op. 86 by Alois Hába at the final concert of the Prague Spring Festival.
Born in Prague in 1960, Michal Kaňka took up the cello under leadership of Mirko Škampa, Viktor Moučka and Josef Chuchro. Later he continued his studies with French cellists Paul Tortelier and André Navarra.
Already as a student he passed successfully more than 30 cello competitions. From the most prestigious we can mention the first price in the international cello competition „Prague spring“ 1983 or his victory in the ARD radio competition in Munich 2006. Big success was also his laureateship in the Tchaikovsky international cello competition 1982 in Moscow.
His achievements in international contests were followed by solo concerts in Europe, Japan and both North and South America.
Michal Kaňka has been performing regularly with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1986. Their first collaboration was just in Rudolfinum with the cello concerto by A. Dvořák. Since that time he has made with SoČr. both live and studio recordings of 12 diverse cello concertos. Some of those were released by CD firma Radioservis (S. Prokofjev, B. Martinů, J. Feld, J. Zich).
In the year 2003 Michal Kaňka was nominated to be the honoured soloist of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra by the chief conductor Vladimír Válek.
Michal Kaňka collaborates intensively with French CD company Praga digitals. He has recorded more than 30 solo CDs for this firm and most of them were highly evaluated in international musical magazines. Praga digitals set out among others Kaňka´s recording of the cello concerto by A. Honegger together with Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra.
From Kaňka´s most important performances during last and this season we can mention for example the festive concert by the occasion of the conclusiom of presidency of Czech republic in European Union on 11th of June 2009 in Brussels by collaboration with the Czech Philharmonic and conductor Zdeněk Mácal. There was also Dvorak´s cello concerto on the program. Or planned 2 performances in the festival Prague spring 2010.
Michal Kaňka has been since 1986 member of the Pražák quartet. With this ensemble he has appeared on major concert stages in the whole world and recorded many tens of CDs.

French violin maker Christian Bayon made for Michal Kaňka exceptional cello in 2006.
Born in Slovakia, she studied Conservatory and Music Academy in Bratislava. Shortly after she graduated she became a respected solo singer of the Slovak National Theatre ( 1971 - 1978 ) and the State Oper in Berlin ( 1978 - 2006 ). Solo singer of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra ( 1979 - 1989 ) She appeared in hundreds of performances with a wide range of repertoire from barock to contemporary period. Since 1990 she has been active as a teacher, nowadays as a chief of opera department at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and also at the Music University named Hans Eiser in Berlin. Among her students can be found winners of important international competitions.
Japanese soprano Ms Michiyo Keiko studied at the Chugoku Junior College and the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
In 1994, she become a laureate at the A.Dvořák International Singing Competition where, she also won the award for best interpretation of a Czech cycle (K.Slavický – Oh, My heart) and a Czech aria (that of Jenůfa from Janáček’s opera Jenůfa). In 1996, she was awarded a prize from the Masaryk Academy of Arts.
Already as a student, Ms Keiko performed at the F. X. Salda Theater in Liberec. She has been engaged by Opera Mozart since 1996, and has been a guest performer at the National Theater in Prague.
Ms Keiko has also performed in Slovakia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Austria, the United States and Japan. She has collaborated with many orchestras, among them the Czech Radio Symphonic Orchestra, The Prague Chamber Philharmonic, the Philharmonic of Cologne, L,Orchestre National de Lyon, the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra. Her solo repertoire includes the Glagolitic Mass (L.Janáček), Stabat Mater (K.Symanowski) together with L,Orchestre National de Lyon under the the baton of David Robertson, Die Erde ist des Herrn (H.Krása), Requiem (Mozart), Die letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze (Haydn), The Wedding Shirt (A.Dvořák) at the Festival Mitte Europa, and many more.
In the operatic field, she successfully performs parts both from the basic Italian repertoire and corner stone Czech operatic roles, such as Mařenka in Smetana’s The Bartered Bride, or the Fox in Janáček’s The Little Cunning Vixen.
Her major interest, however, lies in concerts and song interpretation. Ever since her student time, she has worked and recorded with pianist Jaroslav Šaroun CD of Czech songs on the Lotos label. In 2009 they also recorded czech song repertoire for japanese tv and radio station NHK.
